It is so strange to me that I have no problem wrapping my head around a piece of canvas, or a blank page. . .but an empty space? It has to be so right before I even have the nerve to make it a permanent or even semi-permanent piece in a room. . .

Design Sponge is great for inspiring the DIY pros and the wanna-be's with its many "how did they think of that?" before and after pictures and inspirations.
